Liu Shiwen has won the World Cup five times, the World Championships once, the Asian Cup four times, and the ITTF World Tour Grand Finals three times. From January to September 2010, thirteen months between 2013 and 2014, and eleven months from 2015 to 2016, she held the number one rank on ITTF.

Reigning world champion Liu Shiwen overcame a slow start and a late scare to win the all-Chinese final 4-2 over Zhu Yuling and lifted the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Women's World Cup trophy for a record fifth time on Sunday.

In a recent interview with China Daily online show Tracking Success, table tennis world and Olympic champion Liu Shiwen shared stories from her 20-year international career since making her debut in 2004.
